Organised by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society, the Beef & Lamb Championships are a true celebration of commercial beef and sheep from across Northern Ireland.
During the day there is an action-packed programme of showing classes and championships that sees top producers and new faces compete for prestigious prizes across three sections; cattle, calves and lambs. There are also young handler and Young Farmer classes to support up and coming talent in the showing circuit.
In the evening, all stock shown on the day is up for sale in a high-stakes auction. Here butchers, restaurants and industry leaders alike bid for the finest stock and rosette adorned champions.
This bustling show and sale is open to farmers and their families, agri-enthusiasts and students as well as potential buyers, butchers and top local restaurants.
Many of the stock shown at this sale feature on exquisite menus and in butchers' shop windows just in time for the festive period.
